On the Runway Dress Rental Policy

Welcome to On the Runway! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable dress rental experience, please carefully review our rental policies below

1. Rental Period

  • The rental period starts from the day you receive the dress.
  • If you require additional days, please contact us in advance to extend the rental period.
    Additional fees may apply.

2. Rental Fees & Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards, e-transfers, and cash payments.

3. Deposit

  • A **refundable security deposit** is required for every rental. The deposit amount will rangefrom $100 to $150 depending on the dress’s value.
  • The deposit will be refunded in full upon the return of the dress in good condition, with no damages or late returns.
  • If the dress is returned damaged, stained, or with missing items (e.g., embellishments), the cost of repairs or replacement will be deducted from the deposit.
  • In the case of lost dresses or irreparable damage, the full retail price of the dress will be deducted from the deposit. If the cost exceeds the deposit, the renter will be responsible for paying the difference.

4. Late Returns

  • Late returns will incur a fee of **$15 per day** after the scheduled return date.
  • If the dress is not returned after **7 days**, the renter will be charged the full retail price of the dress in addition to any late fees.

5. Dress Condition

  • All dresses are professionally cleaned before each rental.
  • Renters are expected to return the dress in good condition. Minor wear is acceptable, but significant damage such as stains, tears, or missing embellishments may result in deductions from the deposit or additional charges.
  • In the event of irreversible damage or loss, the renter will be responsible for the **full retail price** of the dress.

6. Dress Fitting & Alterations

  • We encourage customers to try on dresses before renting to ensure proper fit.
  • Renters are **not allowed** to make permanent alterations to any rented dress. Temporary adjustments (e.g., hem tape) are acceptable as long as they don’t damage the dress.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • **Cancellations** made more than **48 hours** before the rental period begins will receive a full refund, minus a **10% processing fee**.
  • Cancellations made within **48 hours** of the rental period start will forfeit 50% of the rental fee.
  • No refunds will be issued once the dress has been picked up or delivered.

8. Cleaning

  • Dry cleaning is included in the rental fee. Please do not attempt to clean the dress yourself, as improper cleaning methods can result in damage.

9. Pickup & Delivery

  • You may choose to either **pick up** the dress in-store, free tryout for one hour.

10. Sizing Issues

  • If the dress does not fit, we offer an **exchange** for another size (if available) or a different style.
  • Exchanges must be made within **24 hours** of receiving the dress. No refunds will be issued for sizing issues.

11. Privacy Policy

  • We value your privacy. Any personal information collected will be used solely for the purposes  of fulfilling your rental order and will not be shared with third parties.

12. Customer Responsibilities

  • Renters are responsible for keeping the dress in their possession and protecting it from damage, theft, or loss.
  • Please handle the dress with care and avoid exposure to substances like makeup, perfumes, or food that may cause stains.
